- IP address, request time, browser information and requested URL may be processed temporarily for delivery, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

- The reply email, message and optional name or page URL submitted through the contact form are used to handle that request.

Information saved on this device
These browser records do not create an account or sync across devices. Saving a person does not enable notifications.
- Language preference
pwrmap.locale.v1: the Korean or English language you selected.- Saved people
pwrmap.interests.v1: up to 100 public person IDs, displayed names and the time each was saved. The list is not sent to Analytics.- Last qualifying view date
pwrmap.valid-view.v1: one date, based on the device clock in Korean time. No viewed name, person ID, query, amount or material version is stored in this record.
A view qualifies when at least half of a verified person report's totals block, a dated national map summary, or a current nonempty statistics summary stays visible for two continuous seconds in a foreground tab. Loading, failed or stale statistics do not qualify. The date distinguishes the first qualifying view from a return on a later day, once per day across these screens. It does not prove that you read the original, understood the material or downloaded a file.
The last-view record expires 90 Korean calendar days after the last qualifying view. When you next qualify, the expired record is removed and a new first-view date is saved. A closed browser cannot delete it; clearing site data removes it earlier. This expiry does not remove saved people or your language preference.
Remove a saved person with its saved-person button. To remove all of these local records, clear statskorea.com site data in your browser settings, and pwrmap.net data if you used the former domain. Saved people, language preferences and notification permissions do not transfer between domains. Clearing site data also removes saved people and the language preference; a later qualifying view can count as a first view again. Clearing local data does not erase events already received by an analytics provider.
If storage is blocked or invalid, or the required browser features are unavailable, first/return classification is skipped. Public materials remain readable; saved-language and saved-person features may be unavailable.
Usage events and third-party analytics
PWRMAP sends fixed screen types, interface language, usage actions and performance measurements to Google Analytics. Actions include copying, saving or removing an interest, requesting CSV/PNG/print, and a qualifying first or return view. Export requests do not prove a completed download or print.
These PWRMAP event fields exclude names, person IDs, search terms, URL query strings, the saved-person list, the local view date and source text. This does not remove URL information from service logs or links you share, or prevent Google's separate processing of cookies and device/browser information.
Use browser and provider controls to restrict storage or analytics. Blocking cookies alone does not necessarily block every analytics request. Google's processing is described in Safeguarding your data.
Retention and third parties
Contact information is retained only as long as needed to resolve the inquiry and meet applicable legal or security requirements. Infrastructure, analytics and advertising providers may process technical information under their own terms and data-protection policies.
Browser settings and provider controls can be used to restrict cookies or personalized advertising. Blocking essential storage may affect the saved language preference but does not change the public data itself.
Requests and contact
Use the contact page for privacy questions or a correction request. For a public disclosure, identify the precise source and explain whether the source itself has been corrected, withdrawn or restricted.
